Ben has worked his entire career at Rocket Pro TPO. He started his career in a closing role for about 12 months and was one of the top producers in that role. After a year in closing Ben decided he wanted to learn more about the industry and applied for the Rocket Launcher role (no this has nothing to do with outer space). In this role Ben was responsible for the initial scrub all loans submitted to Underwriting. Ben would look at the application, AUS and documents the originator uploaded to submit to underwriting. Ben made sure that the file was complete before getting to underwriting. Ben's time as a Rocket Launcher helped him to become an expert in originating loans.

Ben is an industry leader when it comes to knowing what documents are needed based on the product to ensure that each client's loan gets closed smoothly and quickly. After two years in Rocket, Ben received a promotion because of his thoroughness and high quality of work. Ben moved into the role of Solution Underwriting. In this role Ben became one of the industry's leading underwriting experts. As a solution underwriter all the “problem” loans flowed to Ben. It was his job to figure out how to make them work.

Ben would work directly with the loan originator to get a better understanding of the client, the credit profile, and any relevant information. Ben would then underwrite the entire file at times making exceptions on guidelines or overlays to get the loan across the finish line. Ben worked on 200 loans per month and was able to get 90%+ across the funded. Ben was the expert for many originators while he worked at Rocket Mortgage TPO, he now brings that knowledge directly to the consumer and is able to help more people get into the home of their dreams, lower their mortgage rates, take equity to consolidate debt, remodel their home, or pay for a life event such as their daughter's wedding, a sick parents medical care or their children's college.
